About Full Spectrum Imaging & Inspections, LLC

    Panoramic View of South Florida

    Our Mission

Full Spectrum Imaging & Inspections, LLC serves Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties in South Florida. Our mission is to complement, supplement, and go beyond what traditional home inspectors provide. Using specialized test equipment that operates outside the visible spectrum, we reveal what would otherwise be overlooked through a basic visual inspection, unveiling the unseen.

Radon is an invisible and odorless naturally occurring  radioactive gas; it is the second leading cause of lung cancer overall, and the leading cause of lung cancer among never-smokers. In fact, the EPA estimates that this Class A carcinogen is directly responsible for 21,000 deaths in the United States every year. That's over 4 times the number of people who die in the US by fires and carbon monoxide (both accidental and intentional) combined; most homes are equipped with smoke detectors (and many with CO detectors), yet all too few people know to test for this insidious, silent killer.

Radon seeps into homes and commercial buildings primarily from the soil beneath the foundation, but in some cases, from well water and even building materials. The good news is that radon can be accurately detected with professional measurement equipment, and if elevated concentrations are detected, can be quickly, successfully, and cost effectively mitigated.

We use calibrated Continuous Radon Monitor systems that have been approved by both organizations designated by the EPA to validate equipment, testing laboratories, and certify measurement professionals, the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) and National Radon Safety Board (NRSB). The managing member of Full Spectrum Imaging & Inspections, LLC is certified by the State of Florida Department of Health as a Radon Measurement Specialist and by the National Radon Proficiency Program as a Radon Measurement Professional.

Do-it-yourself test kits from hardware stores simply don't provide the level of detail that our professional equipment does. What's more, if these cheap kits are not properly deployed, they can be inaccurate and unreliable. Consider this: having an inaccurate result can  provide a false sense of security, which is worse than not testing at all. And regardless of whether the DIY test kit provides a result that's higher or lower than the actual concentration of radon, it's a waste of money either way.
